Clemens Teufel has performed concerts throughout Europe, the United States and Asia including venues such as The Lincoln Center New York, Rockport Music’s Shalin Liu Performance Center, USA, Cité des Arts in Paris, France and the Music school of the Beijing Conservatory in China.
Appearances at several festivals included the International Burgos Music Festival in Spain, the Holzhauser Musiktage near Munich, Germany and the Easter Festival in Bayreuth, Germany as well as the Newport Music Festival (now Newport Classical) and the Summit Music Festival in New York, USA.
Born in Frankfurt, Germany, Clemens Teufel received his first piano lessons at the age of seven. First-prize winner of various national youth competitions, he completed his musical education at the University Franz Liszt in Weimar, where he studied in the class of Professor Peter Waas.
In 2012, Clemens Teufel graduated with honors in the master class of Professor Lev Natochenny from the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts.
In 2015 he changed his residency from Frankfurt in Germany to Boston in the United States and has since performed extensively in the New England area.
In 2017, Clemens Teufel released his first solo Album with music by American master composers Howard Hanson and George Gershwin, which includes Gershwin’s legendary solo transcription of the Rhapsody in Blue and is available at Apple Music, iTunes, Spotify and other major streaming services.
Besides performing, Clemens Teufel held teaching positions at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts as well as at the School of Music Bad Soden and has given masterclasses around the globe including the Beijing Conservatory in China and the Johann Sebastian Bach School of Music in Mühlhausen, Germany.
Clemens Teufel has also composed pieces for solo piano and chamber music of which some compositions are available on his website.
In September 2022 he is starting a new music series at the Redwood Library in Newport, Rhode Island, for which he curates and performs.
