Ibach, 1921, Barmen, Germany. Ibach pianos were favored by the composers Max Reger and Arnold Schoenberg. This piano, made in 1921 in Barmen, Germany, is capable of producing a wide range of tone colors across the dynamic spectrum, from a gossamer pianississimo (by finger pressure alone, without use of the soft pedal) to a very satisfying fortissimo. Its music desk and pedal lyre, and the decorative castings in the plate, bespeak its Art Deco period.
